Supernova Dreams
In “Supernova Dreams,” I emulated photographer Naoya Hatakeyama and his “Slow Glass” series. Hatakeyama imagined raindrops on glass to explore the pain in memory, often utilizing strong lights and colors in the background of his images. For this image, I sought inspiration from this principle while taking on a more generalized perspective of memories being depicted behind these raindrops. This piece represents what I imagine a supernova, the explosion of a star, to dream of: a kaleidoscope of color that it hopes it represents.
