Artist’s Statement
“Possible Future?” was inspired by an assignment in Landscape Photography with Professor Vargas. She asked the students to look for what mankind is doing to nature. There is a recent housing boom near my home and the beautiful nature is bulldozed down to the earth. I used a technique called double exposure in Photoshop to the reality and the future in one image.
About the Artist
Faith McWalter is currently a junior at University of Incarnate Word. She is pursuing a BFA in Photography. She has a AA in English and AA in Teaching. Before COVID, she was planning to become a teacher; however, an opportunity at UIW came up that she could not pass. She is a military wife, a mother, and starting a new part of her life as a photographer.
